Two Brindleyplace is a Ground plus seven storey building which sits within the Brindleyplace estate. Two Brindleyplace is one of six key buildings which form the perimeter of Central Square, the main public open space within Brindleyplace. The building also has a secondary frontage onto Oozells Square, a smaller public open space which is home to the Grade II Listed Ikon Gallery.
The comprehensive refurbishment includes a new full width, double height entrance lobby / reception space that leads into a seven storey atrium space. The atrium space is lit by a new glazed atrium roof and overlooked by open lift lobby balconies which access each floorplate.
An all-new angular top floor extension creates additional workspace and creates two generously sized external amenity spaces. One addresses Central Square and can be occupied by the Seventh Floor tenant, the other is communal and offers extensive views across the city skyline along with views over the Ikon Gallery and towards Oozells Square.
All electric services installations will provide efficient workspace. The workspace is complimented by state of the art staff facilities including staff showers, changing and drying rooms, generous cycle storage and maintenance area, EV charging points and a generous wellness suite and multi-purpose screening room.
The project is set to achieve net zero carbon and EPC A, which would make the building Birmingham’s first net zero carbon and EPC A office refurbishment. In conjunction with a host of other sustainable, resilient and wellness criteria, the building will be an attractive newly refurbished commercial workspace.
