We were commissioned to develop an office fit-out in Manchester city centre. The Client wanted the design to reflect their new business model which was shifting from an inward-looking organisation to an outward facing enterprise. The key drivers behind the design were to deliver a vibrant working environment that stimulated innovation whilst offering collaborative and flexible working. Visitors and staff are welcomed by an interactive reception area where users can showcase their talents. The space flows into the public facing areas through a large café style kitchen that acts as a holding area for multipurpose events. This destination space has 4 sub-rooms adjoined by glazed sliding doors that add flexibility and provide seating for 100+ people. Events such as presentation talks, group meetings, conferences, university days and exhibitions can also be accommodated.

Elsewhere a marketing suite provides views over the city centre – the space offers a variety of environments such as glazed meeting rooms, intimate discussion areas and an open lounge. The suite was designed with flexibility in mind; with modular furniture that can be rearranged

to provide either conference style seating or social amenity such as a lounge or yoga studio. The rest of the floor accommodates training areas for new members; an innovation hub and a tech free zone, providing areas for discussion and contemplation.

The design boasts a raw palette of materials with muted tones of block colour and timber to form an interior identity.
