5plus were appointed to undertake the initial feasibility work to establish the viability of the University’s vision for Energy House 2.0. This commission was part of our wider role as masterplanner for the University campus. Energy House 2.0 is a visionary proposal for a world leading, housing energy performance test facility for the School of the Built Environment. Building on the success of Salford Energy House 1.0, this new facility will allow the University to increase the scope of research by simulating extreme weather conditions from around the world, serving the global construction industry.
