Before Serra headed back to her studies she shared her thoughts on her time here at 5plus.

5P. What has your journey into architecture looked like?

SA. I completed my Bachelors at the Manchester School of Architecture and have been working at 5plus since I graduated in 2022.

5P. What have you enjoyed most about your time at 5plus?

SA. Alongside the friendly team, interesting projects, and continuous learning, the annual bake off is an additional highlight!

5P. Was there anything you disliked about your time at 5plus?

SA. The months where we did not have a coffee machine…

5P. What was your favourite project during your time at 5plus?

SA. Even though I really enjoyed working on a wide variety of projects, my favourite was working on an airport masterplan as it was exciting to conceptually design at a much bigger scale and aligning with long-term future goals.

5P. What has been the most valuable thing you have learnt during your time at 5plus?

SA. It’s been really eye opening to realise the power of politics in projects.

5P. What do you have planned next?

SA. I will be returning to university to pursue a Masters in Design Management in London. This is a bit of a jump away from Architecture but I’m excited for the future and to continue expanding my skills.
