Following the announcement that BASF’s UK headquarters is soon to relocate to Stockport Exchange, we’re delighted to share that 5plus is the interior designer for the fit out.
2 Stockport Exchange forms the latest phase of development at Muse and Stockport Council’s landmark regeneration scheme. BASF has taken 21,500 sqft across the upper two floors of the six-storey building.
The brief for the project was to develop a flexible new workspace in line with BASF’s global aspirations. Our proposals include a number of flexible work settings which will enable the agile working environment aspired to. A major intervention includes the integration of a new staircase which will link the two floors and help foster communication and collaboration between BASF staff.
Aesthetically the new workplace will utilise an array of natural and sustainable materials with warm finishes including timber joinery and soft furnishings. To help define the spaces and capture the client’s identity, BASF materials will be incorporated within many of the chosen products. The scheme also includes accents of bold brand colours which will add a playful tone and active feel to the space.
This commission expands 5plus’ extensive portfolio of workplace fit outs which in recent years have included work for AstraZeneca and the British Council, amongst others.
