Our fourth Creative Talents Show comes to the Manchester studio on July 5th.
Once again we are turning our space at The Hive into a gallery to showcase the work of talented graduates from MMU’s Faculty of Art and Design.
As usual the selection process was tough and a dozen artists were selected by directors Jon Matthews, Paul Norbury and Tony Skipper, ably guided by Whitworth Art Gallery curator Mary Griffiths, photographer/artist Simon Buckley and Brigitte Juracjk, MMU’s Head of Sculpture / Time based arts.
The work will start arriving at the Studio this week and we aim to get to know a little more about each of the artists and introduce them to the team.
Guests at the Creative Talents show will be invited to vote for their favourite piece and the winner will be announced on the evening and receive a £500 prize to do with what they will.
Director Jon Matthews said: “The creative work being produced in Manchester is world class and this is a way of giving some of that talent another platform, another introduction to a wider audience.
“We look forward to a stimulating and fun evening.”
