Further to our completion of the Riseholme campus masterplan for the University of Lincoln, we have recently developed proposals for a new Agri-Robotics Laboratory.
The project will be the first phase of a larger development for the University’s pioneering Institute for Agri-Food Technology (LIAT) and was fast tracked to meet funding and planning deadlines.
The University’s Riseholme campus is part of a country estate and registered park that includes the Grade II listed Riseholme Hall. The design of the building takes reference from the local farm-stead vernacular, using materials which will blend into the landscape over time.
The Phase 1 lab is both modest and forward thinking, a simple form of cross laminated timber that references buildings on the site with a highly specified internal space.
The building will support a new area of research for the University with dedicated research facilities to advance the development of robotic and drone based autonomous farming technologies.
We are pleased to have provided innovative solutions within a heritage setting to the client’s complex requirements and met tight deadlines.
