5plus has been jointly appointed by Taylor Wimpey and Homes England to develop the masterplan for Pickering’s Farm, Penwortham in Lancashire.
The site extends to approximately 80 hectares of land between Preston and Leyland.
Our involvement began in 2010 with the development of a framework for the site, and publication of a development statement setting out how the site could be brought forward for residential development in a sustainable way.
The original commission led to the successful allocation of the site in the 2015 South Ribble Borough Council Local Plan and it is also a key part of the Central Lancashire City Deal with the potential to contribute up to 1,350 homes.
The next step is to provide a comprehensive masterplan for the wider area that can be agreed with the Council to ensure high quality and joined up thinking across the whole development.
The visioning events and consultation for the masterplan area are currently underway highlighting the principles about connectivity, sustainability and environment – a place for people to call home.
